Vibrant deep red color so typical of this variety, this Wine displays great elegance and balance in the nose. Ripe fruit aromas evoke prunes, strawberries, and cherries intertWined with spicy notes, such as black pepper, tobacco, and sweet red pepper. The palate reveals an exceptionally powerful Wine with the characteristic round and opulent tannins from grapes grown in Vistalba’s unique terroir. A pleasant and persistent finish displays more red fruit notes, but this time intertWined with vanilla and chocolate from oak aging.

White kouji and sweet potato in an amphora. The aroma and soft, round taste produced by the amphora. There is a stone warehouse at Jikuya entrance. It was built in the Meiji period. It is used to store the products. The storage room temperature is the same throughout the year. This room stores “Jars of Jikuya". The Shochu storing jars enhance the flavor and mellowness.

This sake is made by mixing the sake brewed by 100% local produced Oumi rice in Shiga Prefecture with fresh Yuzu juice using 13 or 14 pieces of Yuzu per 1,000ml. The refreshing Yuzu juice without bitter taste is from gentle pressed fully ripe fresh Yuzu grown in Shikoku Region. Served chilled straight or divided by soda is good idea to enjoy it like a sparkling Wine with a champagne glass.

It's made of highest quality Yamadanishiki rice from the special region "A" of Hyogo prefecture. One year aged as "namazake" (unpasteurized sake) under 0 (zero) degree C and pasteurized just before shipping. This is Tokubetsu Junmai, but rice polishing ratio is very high =50% as Junmai Daiginjo. Bright citrussy, grapefruits note, great fragrance with delicate fruity sweetness, long elegant balanced pungent. Very aromatic, clean and refreshing sake.
