MAISON ROCHE DE BELLENE
“Charmes-Chambertin” Grand Cru 2011
MAISON ROCHE DE BELLENE
raditional Winemaking in steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Maturation in French oak barrels (60% new) for 18 months. Ruby red color. Nose of little red fruits with strawberry and raspberry in evidence. Some spicy hints. In the mouth it has a good concentration of a Grand Cru with a good acidity and freshness. Very balanced and elegant but still not so expressive.

MAISON ROCHE DE BELLENE
“Clos de Vougeot” Grand Cru 2011
MAISON ROCHE DE BELLENE
Deep dark garnet in color, the Wine exhibits dark cherries, plums and strawberries on the nose. The attack on the tongue is bold with raspberries and currants transitioning to mild notes of leather and earth followed by a really good balance between tannins and a long pomegranite finish. Powerful and bold with good fruit. A pleasure!

MAISON ROCHE DE BELLENE
“Echezeaux” Grand Cru 2014
MAISON ROCHE DE BELLENE
Medium body with dark cherry aroma along with dark berry, plum and earth bouquets. Not as haunt perfume as Damoy Chambertin Clos de Beze, but got signature taste that reminded me of Vosne-Romanee Wine, and also with Vosne spice at the end. Good long aftertaste, second to many great Grand Crus, but still fascinating on its own.

Fruit forward for a burgundy but sufficiently complex and definitely pleasant. Medium to light bodied, nose of red fruit and a hint of mint. Tastes of strawberries, tomato, vanilla, pepper and just a hint of soil and mushroom. Silky smooth finish that was perfectly balanced and had a pleasant lingering effect.

A truly convivial Wine. Owing to the careful blending of various terroirs, the result is a Wine of great charm. It has a lovely raspberry colour and a brilliant hue. The nose is both refined and intense, with notes of violet, peony and red fruit syrup. As you drink it, it feels fresh and silky. Both freshness and fruit remain for quite a long time on the palate.
