CHÂTEAU DUCRU-BEAUCAILLOU
La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou, Saint-Julien AOC 2015
CHÂTEAU DUCRU-BEAUCAILLOU
Dark colored Wine with a a purple patch. It has a floral note on the nose: small black cherries, blueberry and wilted violets, the last becoming more intense as the initially tight-fisted Wine opens in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine- grained tannin, a very well-judged acidity and its texture is harmonious and smooth. Aged in 60% new French oak barrels for between 12 and 18 months.

CHÂTEAU DUCRU-BEAUCAILLOU
CHÂTEAU DUCRU-BEAUCAILLOU
Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is the archetypal Saint-Julien Bordeaux. Considered one of the best Chateaus in the Saint-Julien AOC of the Medoc, the wine was granted 2nd growth status in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. The Grand Cru is powerful, extraordinarily well-integrated yet characteristic ripe flavors typical of both the varietal of Cabernet Sauvignon and the Saint-Julien appellation. We suggest at least ten years of aging for the Grand Vin. For those looking for wine approachable at a younger age, we highly recommend Château Ducru-Beaucaillou's second wine, the Croix de Beaucaillou, which sources grapes from the same vineyard as the Grand Vin.
