This is one that is great on its own and with food. A hug for your mouth. Nose is raisins and a slight green pepper. Drinking it had a n earthy quality that’s like eating the ripest beat. Sweet but still rooted. Ripen strawberries are also on the palette.

CHÂTEAU LEOVILLE POYFERRE
Château Léoville Poyferré is another of Wineman's favorite and is among the four essential Sant-Julien producers, along with Château Ducru-Beaucaillou and the other 2 Leovilles (Château Léoville Barton and Château Léoville Las Cases. Château). Léoville Poyferré's wines is historically known as the softer of the three Leoville wines. Driven by wine consumer trends of the past decades, however, the estate has developed heavier weight and boldness. The estate was granted second growth in the 1855 classification, but in terms of price point, Léoville Poyferré is among the more accessible wines, as compared to its classified growth peers.
