CHÂTEAU PÉDESCLAUX
Château Pédesclaux is a winery located in Bordeaux, in the sub-appellation of Pauillac. The château is one of the 18 classified fifth growths, or Cinquièmes Crus, from the Bordeaux Classification of 1855. The Château Pédesclaux estate is 48 hectares (120 acres) and is planted primarily to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with some Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The vines, planted in gravel over clay subsoil, are on average 35 years old, but some date back to the 1950s.
