Aromas of crushed red and black currants, black cherries, dark chocolate and subtle smoky notes of cedar and tobacco leaves come through on the nose, representing the style of the house. On the palate, the Wine delivers beautifully juicy texture and crunchy freshness, while the tannic structure is balanced with a brilliant acidity, towards a savory finish.

Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a wine estate in Pauillac. Under the name Artigues Arnaud, it was rated as a Fifth Growth in the Bordeaux Classification of 1855. The vineyards are around 62 percent Cabernet Sauvignon on silica and gravel soils, and 38 percent Merlot on sandy gravel soils. A second wine, Prélude à Grand-Puy Ducasse, is made from younger vines. This is aged for around the same duration as the grand vin but with only 10-15 percent new oak.
