Marta, Fragancia de Marta 2016
Marta
Very light peachy colour. Beautiful and extremely floral nose: roses, pelargonium... In mouth, light bodied, dry and crisp. Florality joined by grapefruit acidity. Beautiful, deductive, addictive.

Dugat-Py
Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru 2014
Dugat-Py
A brooding and almost grudging nose features subtle floral, earth and densely fruited dark berry and animale suffused aromas. The driving, robust, powerful and broad-scaled flavors brim with an abundance of dry extract that push the prominent tannic spine to the background on the explosive and almost painfully intense finish that possesses plenty of the hallmark youthful austerity.

DOMAINE MEIX FOULOT
Mercurey’ Premier Cru, Monopole 2015
DOMAINE MEIX FOULOT
A closed nose on this Wine allows glimpses of red cherry slightly colored with a woodland note. A picture of vivid, understated juiciness, the palate is harmonious and elegant, its firm web of tannin holding everything like silky gauze. Earthier aspects on the finish suggest slight evolution but also whet the appetite for further age. It's lovely and so balanced.

MiruMiru Sparkling N.V.

Ozing complexity and surely underpriced. The nose exhibits light yeasty characters with peach and citrus aromas. An elegant palate showing a blend of peach/citrus Chardonnay components followed by the light berry fruits of the pinot noir. The mouth filling mousse completes the palate that is full and persistent.

Domaine Ponsot
Morey Saint Denis Alouettes 1er cru 2013
Domaine Ponsot
This is more complex still if only just with a slightly less elegant array of red and blue fruit scents that include pomegranate, plum, blue berry, earth and a hint of exotic tea. The sleekly muscular middle weight flavors exude a fine bead of minerality on the delicious, intense, well-detailed and powerful finish that delivers excellent persistence.

DOMAINE GEORGES LIGNIER ET FILS
Morey-Saint-Denis, Premier Cru “Clos Des Ormes” 2014
DOMAINE GEORGES LIGNIER ET FILS
Good medium red; darker than the village Wines. Inviting ripe perfume of cherry, raspberry, dried flowers and crushed rock. A step up in silky ripeness from the estate's village Wines, but also offering lovely inner-mouth energy and precision to its sweet, smooth flavors of red berries, mocha, minerals and flowers.

Domaine Jacques Prieur
Musigny 2015
Domaine Jacques Prieur
The 2015 Musigny Grand Cru perhaps somewhat predictably has the most sophisticated bouquet amongst Prieur's red Wines, with mulberry and blackberry notes infused with cold stone and subtle sous-bois aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe tannin that feel quite "bony" at the moment, although it will mellow and gain more harmony.

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue
Musigny Vieilles Vignes 2013
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue
Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a classy and sophisticated bouquet with pure, mineral-drenched red berry fruit, superb delineation, an almost pastille-like purity. The palate is very harmonious with supple red cherry and strawberry fruit, seamlessly integrated new oak, quite a sensual Musigny if not quite as aristocratic as another growing season might bestow. It is sheer pleasure, especially on the sorbet-fresh finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is deeply impressive.

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue
Like the Amoureuses this too is kaleidoscopically spicy with its broad-ranging nose of red cherry, cassis, plum, violet, Asian-style tea, sandalwood and hoisin. The velvety and mouth coating imposingly-scaled and intense mineral-driven flavors are also blessed with seemingly endless reserves of dry extract that coat the palate on the highly seductive finish that delivers fantastically good length on the youthfully austere, backward and immaculately well-balanced finale.
