Château Clinet
Château Clinet 2013
Château Clinet
The 2013 Clinet was one of the better Wines that I tasted from barrel. Indeed both Robert Parker and I scored this Pomerol around the same mark and now it is in bottle, it has fulfilled my expectations as a delicious, easy-going, but still well-crafted Wine from Ronan Laborde. It has a delicate but precise bouquet that gains intensity in the glass, cassis and a touch of wild mint, ground pepper emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannin that need another 12-18 months to soften, however there is adequate fruit underneath with a linear, slightly sappy finish. Enjoy this over the next 10-12 years - 91 points in Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

CHÂTEAU D'ARMAILHAC
Château D’Armailhac 2011
CHÂTEAU D'ARMAILHAC
A deep, dark color in the glass. The nose exudes fruit aromas, especially blackberry and cherry, combined with roasted, toasted notes. The powerful, fruit-driven palate reveals an attractively close-knit structure of silky, creamy tannins. The long finish lingers on slightly oak flavors. A classic vintage with plenty of ageing potential.

The Wine is ripe and packed with fruity Merlot. It has a dense structure and an opulent character that gives the Wine considerable richness. The firm tannins are cushioned by all this fruit. It does have high alcohol, but the final acidity ensures that the Wine remains crisp

Chateau Vieux Georget
Noticeably clean and soft-fruited claret with an uncomplicated and approachable ripeness in the mouth. A worthy partner to our highly popular white from Jean da Fré’s estate at St Laurent du Bois. The Wine itself is unoaked, leaving the flavour of the grapes to be expressed.

Chateau Clos de la Boheme
Clos de la Boheme 2014
Chateau Clos de la Boheme
The blending Wine, 56% Cabernet Sauvignon and 44% Merlot, offers a fresh, almost minty, nose. It is necessary to wait for the agitation to perceive some subtle notes of curry, of clove on a juicy bed of morello cherries. In the mouth nothing remarkably thick but hot spices among discrete tannins. The finish is elegant, never showing its muscles to offer mineral accents to this Clos la Bohème 2014 while balance.

The palate deepens the opening theme. There’s dark blackberry and ripe plum while underneath, quietly, a precise, profound tannin structure resonates. Domaine Philippe Alliet
Coteaux De Noire Chinon Rouge 2014
Domaine Philippe Alliet
The Coteau de Noiré is the top cuvée of Domaine Alliet. The grapes originate from a single plot of vineyard, ideally located on the slope of the Chinon hill. The grapes ripen perfectly in this south facing vineyard. This Wine is widely considered by critics to be in the pantheon of Chinon Wines; the nose is full and complex with notes of dark fruit, fresh coffee beans, subtle vanilla and pepper. The taste is full bodied and refined with firm tannins. It can be paired with game dishes, beef stew and strong cheeses. This amazing Wine could be cellared for more than ten years. However, you can drink this Wine sooner by decanting for 45 minutes before serving.

Sexy aromas of black cherry, plum and cinnamon are lifted by a hint of violet. Less sweet and rich in the mouth than the 2009, but with an attractive violet note complicating the black cherry and spicy plum flavors. Spreads out impressively on the broad back end, finishing with very supple tannins.
