Quite earthy and savory on the nose, the fruit only emerging slowly. However, on the palate, this has a very attractive fleshy quality and a moderately dry, long finish of some real sophistication. Easy to drink now, but will hold.

Fragrant, perfumed and juicy, this is already an attractive Wine, though one that has the stuffing to cellar well for many years. The structure is striking and solidly firm. It will be an elegant Wine with opulent tendencies

Deep crimson. Spicy, rich in dark-red fruit. Scented and full of fruit. Tannins are a little less supple than on La Serre, just tasted, but they have done a good job in a short time, just a tiny bit hard on the finish.

Chateau Fonroque
St. Emillion Grand Cru Classe 2016
Chateau Fonroque
The 2016 Fonroque, part of the portfolio of Alain Moueix, put in a killer performance this year. It has a lighter bouquet compared to its peers with dusky black fruit, quite tertiary and introverted at first, although it does gain more expression and vigor with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin on the entry, very refined and poised without compensating in terms of fruit. I adore the finish here, really sleek and stylish with very fine mineralité and classicism.

Chateau German Marbuzet
St. Estephe 2011
Chateau German Marbuzet
Deep, brilliant crimson in colour, with hints of ruby. The nose is fine and expressive, in a heady floral style (jasmine, rose), combined with crunchy black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry). Grilled notes when swirled. The balance of the wine is marked by the freshness of liquorice, which complements a full-bodied and delicious note of blackcurrants. Slight hint of coconut and vanilla in the finish. Wine Words Press review Awards News Human Resources PartnersMentions Privacy Policy This site uses c
