Chateau Rocheyron
St. Emilion 2015
Chateau Rocheyron
Matured in 30% new oak, the nose was primal but well defined, very pure with layers of dark cherries and crème de cassis. The palate is smooth on the entry, very fresh and harmonious, and the tannins are fine and supple in the mouth with a fine seam of acidity and a long, caressing finish. The Cabernet Franc works beautifully here, lending complexity and personality.

Quite earthy and savory on the nose, the fruit only emerging slowly. However, on the palate, this has a very attractive fleshy quality and a moderately dry, long finish of some real sophistication. Easy to drink now, but will hold.

Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf
The palate is very well balanced with fine tannin, extremely well judged acidity, the new oak present at the moment but in proportion with the fruit. This is a stylish Le Tertre-Rôteboeuf, very sensual and luxuriant with layers of crushed strawberry, blood oranges and raspberry fruit.
