This Cabernet from Sunnyclliff is one of those wines that you’ll find hard to resist and the perfect thing to pair with a mid-week barbecue. Expect black currant and dark chocolate aromas with a core of dark fruit flavours and subtle oak. The finish is soft yet persistent and the right foil for a chargrilled lamb steak.

Pleasant rounded full body Primitivo (3.8) with medium tannins in garnet colour. Wonderful combination of black currant, black cherry and prune notes on nose, black cherry complemented by strong burnt caramel and hints of coffee on palate. Delicious stuff for repeating again and again

CHÂTEAU GRUAUD LAROSE
Château Gruaud Larose is a wine estate in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Médoc, ranked as a second growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. It is widely regarded as a classic Saint-Julien wine, and is known for its sensible pricing. Most releases need 10 to 15 years to be appreciated at their best. The vineyard is situated southwest of the village of Beychevelle, on gravel banks sloping towards le Marais de Beychevelle, a marsh that separates Saint-Julien from the vineyards of the central Médoc.
