Domaine des Bernardins
Muscat de Beaumes de Venise 2017

The tannins are robust but ripe and will need time to settle, and the acidity is fierce. It's very powerful but balanced overall, retaining freshness. An impressive Wine with tremendous focus and seething energy.

Domaine Zind Humbrecht
Muscat Turckheim 2018
Domaine Zind Humbrecht
Clear pale yellow colour. The nose is exuberant, beautiful, unmistakably Muscat (flowers), but elegant and not overpowering. The palate is deliciously light and easy. It is the perfect summer delight. The finish is harmonious and shows a surprising refreshing acidity, enhanced by a some tannic structure. This Wine will go perfectly with many dishes, salads, asparagus, langoustines,… This is not the classic rich sweet fortified Muscat, treat it more like a dry well structured Viognier

DOMAINE WEINBACH
Muscat, 2018
DOMAINE WEINBACH
ale straw-green. Bright, fresh and juicy, with Earl Grey, elderberry, mint and grapefruit on the nose and in the mouth. Very fruity and even more floral in its bright, vibrant personality thanks to the majority of Muscat Ottonel (70%) and less Muscat d’Alsace (30%); the latter variety gives structure, but it’s the former that gives perfume. Readers might like to know that this lovely Muscat Wine from Weinbach usually picks up a note of menthol three or four years after the harvest. Makes a perfect aperitif Wine.

Domaine Jacques Prieur
Musigny 2015
Domaine Jacques Prieur
The 2015 Musigny Grand Cru perhaps somewhat predictably has the most sophisticated bouquet amongst Prieur's red Wines, with mulberry and blackberry notes infused with cold stone and subtle sous-bois aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe tannin that feel quite "bony" at the moment, although it will mellow and gain more harmony.

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue
Musigny Vieilles Vignes 2013
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue
Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a classy and sophisticated bouquet with pure, mineral-drenched red berry fruit, superb delineation, an almost pastille-like purity. The palate is very harmonious with supple red cherry and strawberry fruit, seamlessly integrated new oak, quite a sensual Musigny if not quite as aristocratic as another growing season might bestow. It is sheer pleasure, especially on the sorbet-fresh finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is deeply impressive.

Musigny Vieilles Vignes 2015
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogue
Like the Amoureuses this too is kaleidoscopically spicy with its broad-ranging nose of red cherry, cassis, plum, violet, Asian-style tea, sandalwood and hoisin. The velvety and mouth coating imposingly-scaled and intense mineral-driven flavors are also blessed with seemingly endless reserves of dry extract that coat the palate on the highly seductive finish that delivers fantastically good length on the youthfully austere, backward and immaculately well-balanced finale.

Tenpoichi
Nakagumi Yamadanishiki Jungin
Tenpoichi
It has a gentle aroma that does not interfere with meals and has a clean and light taste of rice, and the back mouth becomes spicy and sharp. It is a dry sake with a smooth taste that you will not get tired of drinking. The minerality, umami, spiciness, and acidity are well-balanced, and you can enjoy the depth of the taste peculiar to Yamada Nishiki and the refreshing and rice-like taste. It's not a flashy liquor, but it's light and beautiful, and you can feel the taste that you don't overstate.
