Heavy & bold
This is a great bottle of wine with fabulous Melot character - incredibly soft, smooth, and dry. The aromas and palates are full of blackberry, blueberry, black currant, plum, cherry, raspberry, oak, chocolate vanilla spices, and herbs, with a smokey leather touch.
REGION :Napa Valley, USA
GRAPE : Merlot
It has a very pure nose with dark berries, touches of truffle oil and walnut complementing the fruit, very detailed with wilted rose petal scents emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy redcurrant and raspberry, the tannins a little.
REGION :Oregon, USA
GRAPE : Pinot Noir
The Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2016 is produced from grapes sourced from the estate's Marlborough vineyards. The aromas are intelaced with red berries, strawberry as well as touches of coffee beans and herbal spicy notes. This wine sees some oak during the aging process, but oak plays a supporting role here, allowing beloved Pinot subtleties to shine through.
REGION :Marlbourough, New Zealand
Inky purple. Superripe aromas of cassis, cherry preserves and dark chocolate, with complicating notes of licorice and mint. Densely packed and chewy, offering palate-coating black and blue fruit flavors that show serious depth and building sweetness. A hint of smoked meat comes up on the long, clinging finish, which is framed by broad, pliant tannins.
REGION :Howell Mountain, USA
GRAPE : Cabernet Sauvignon
Ben and Alma Schild first moved to the Barossa Valley from Lameroo in the Murray Mallee in 1952. The first vineyard that the family purchased is located up the top of Steingarten Road, near Rowland Flat, where the original homestead is still situated. The wines are typical of the Barossa Valley - warm, generous and rich.
