Cabernet Sauvignon Bosche Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color and is scented of earthy nuances of truffles, dusty soil and underbrush with a core of crème de cassis, black cherry compote and blueberry pie plus hints of camphor and scorched earth. Full, concentrated, rich and densely packed with loads of earth and black fruit layers, it has a firm, ripe, grainy frame and oodles of freshness, finishing long.

Inky purple. Superripe aromas of cassis, cherry preserves and dark chocolate, with complicating notes of licorice and mint. Densely packed and chewy, offering palate-coating black and blue fruit flavors that show serious depth and building sweetness. A hint of smoked meat comes up on the long, clinging finish, which is framed by broad, pliant tannins.

Without causing offense, it does not smell like a rosé, but more like a very pretty young Beaune Premier Cru. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite rich in texture with Morello cherry, hints of dried blood and a lovely piquant finish. Delicious. Such is its depth, it feels like a red, whatever hue…it's just wondrous!

Freemark Abbey is a winery located in Saint Helena in Napa Valley, California. Established in 1886 by Victorian widow Josephine Tychson, she was the first female winemaker on the record in Napa Valley. Over the years they have had a significant impact on the Napa wine industry, including being the only winery where both a red and white wine was represented in the Judgement of Paris tasting 1976. Today, they produce a range of wines from select vineyards in Napa Valley, focusing mainly on Cabernet Sauvignon from Rutherford.
