At once pliant and firm, showing terrific inner – mouth energy to its perfumed floral and exotic fruit flavors. Nicely integrated acidity gives this Wine a steely spine and a lovely sugar/acid balance. Finishes firm, delicate and long. This is made from roughly 45 – year – old vines.

Domaine Weinbach, hands down, is the greatest producer in Alsace in our view. The estate produces great perfumed, single-vineyard white wines in a range of sweetness levels. Its Riesling is, of course, exceptional, but so is the Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Riesling, as well as other white varieties. Grapes are all sourced from prized Grand Cru vineyards. The resulting wine is a noble and supreme expression of the Alsace terroir. The estate lies at the foot of the Schlossberg slopes. Running through the property is a playful stream in which the estate derives its name.
