Heavy & bold
A California white with a yellow color, the wine is powerful, aromatic of citrus, lime, and honeysuckle with medium sweet, fresh, and well-balanced notes of fruits, such as pear, orange, and lime.
REGION :Central Coast, USA
GRAPE : Chardonnay
Tropical fruits (pineapple, mandarin orange) are prominently featured here, supplemented by hints of honey and floral notes. The mouthfeel is rounded, velvety and consistent throughout. A very easy to drink Sauvignon Blanc, from one of the best Kiwi producers.
REGION :Marlbourough, New Zealand
GRAPE : Sauvignon Blanc
Robert Mondavi Chardonnay 2014 carries a pale yellow color, heavy body, medium tannin with semi-dry flavor. On the nose the peach, apple, apricot, melon, and citrus combines with well-balanced oak, butter and vanilla textures resulting in great flavours and a perfect mouthfeel.
REGION :Napa Valley, USA
This is a delightfully fresh expression of the Chardonnay, and the 2014 Cloudy Bay Chardonnay vintage is noticibly more refreshing than previous vintages. The aromas are of mango, green apple, and honey. A bottle of this, chilled, on a summer's afternoon is perfection.
Domaine Weinbach, hands down, is the greatest producer in Alsace in our view. The estate produces great perfumed, single-vineyard white wines in a range of sweetness levels. Its Riesling is, of course, exceptional, but so is the Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Riesling, as well as other white varieties. Grapes are all sourced from prized Grand Cru vineyards. The resulting wine is a noble and supreme expression of the Alsace terroir. The estate lies at the foot of the Schlossberg slopes. Running through the property is a playful stream in which the estate derives its name.
