DOMAINE ROLLIN PERE ET FILS

So much salinity and lemon! This is the lighter sibling of Rollin’s Sous Fretile, and tends to run on the slightly fatter side. Interestingly, this made the group call it a new world Chardonnay, though I’ve never had a new world chard with so much salinity on the palate. It’s definitely a touch round, but it’s a village Pernand, so lower on the slope. I actually find Le Cloux to drink sooner than the basic village from Rollin, but to have more depth and roundness.
