Inky purple. Superripe aromas of cassis, cherry preserves and dark chocolate, with complicating notes of licorice and mint. Densely packed and chewy, offering palate-coating black and blue fruit flavors that show serious depth and building sweetness. A hint of smoked meat comes up on the long, clinging finish, which is framed by broad, pliant tannins.
REGION :Howell Mountain, USA
GRAPE : Cabernet Sauvignon
The Winery describes 'Botanica's' unique, exotic character, "Botanica is always sappy and sanguine with a taste of wild rose, sour cherries, and blood orange. It is tempting to define it solely by its compelling texture and lush personality but there is a structural element that is equally striking. This balance between extraordinarily concentrated fruit and intense levels of extract is the essence of this Wine".
GRAPE : Pinot Noir
Château Ormes de Pez is an estate in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Haut-Médoc. It was formerly classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, but when this tier was removed in 2011, became a part of the marketing group Les Exceptionnels. Ormes de Pez is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The estate is located in the north of Saint-Estèphe near the village of Pez, where there is a mild maritime climate thanks to the influence of both the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean.
