CHÂTEAU D'ARMAILHAC

5th class growth 2016

75CL

The wine is an impressive deep, dark, black ruby color with a youthful purple rim. Opulent intense nose, it reveals ripe blackberry, currant, coffee, chocolate, oak and floral nuances. Impressive on the palate, it is rich, medium-bodied, with a balanced acidity, exhibiting smooth fine integrated tannins and a long persistent finish with lots of oak, currant, liquorice flavors. All in all, displays great aging potential.

CHÂTEAU D'ARMAILHAC

Château d'Armailhac is a wine estate in the Pauillac appellation of the Médoc. As Mouton d'Armailhac, it was ranked as a fifth growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Improvements in quality in recent decades mean that it is now regarded as one of Pauillac's best-value wines. Château d'Armailhac expresses ample Pauillac character with good concentration of flavors and supple textures. Chateau d’Armailhac can be enjoyed on the young side with a few hours of air.
