Blackberry and blueberry balance out this Syrah’s quintessential smoky, meaty aromatics. 2007 was quite a cool year, so the Wine tastes much more cool-climate than expected, which was a most pleasant surprise. Winemaking: a goodly percentage of whole clusters, native fermentation, no fining, and no filtration.

Saturated ruby-red. Smoky aromas of black raspberry, pepper, gunflint and humus. Suave on entry, then creamy in the middle but not overly sweet. A nicely intense, seamless syrah with good density and cut. Slightly low-toned black raspberry and smoke flavors are framed by sound underlying acidity.
